Franchise Criteria

  • Domestic and International opportunities.
  • Must be a multi-unit developer committed to building a minimum of three stores. Most of our recent multi-unit developers are currently developing in excess of 10 stores given the relative simplicity of the store concept, quality of the products, and general performance of the brand.
  • International markets are being developed under a Master Franchise Agreement and prefer developers with the capability to develop an entire country/region.

Franchisee success is driven by qualifications, which include, but are not limited to:

  • The ability to combine entrepreneurial talent for their markets with retail operational expertise
  • A collaborative aptitude to work with Golden Spoon corporate with regards to market development and the unique characteristics of their region
  • Real estate experience to master plan their area, analyze, and interpret demographic information, and select sites to leverage the unique and powerful tenants of our business model
  • Comprehensive financial management of their business from inception to full-scale operation. This starts with financial resources immediately available to launch their business (typically 30-40% of their total store commitment) to support initial franchise fees, real estate selection, FF&E, construction, marketing, and opening activities. As their business grows, it requires discipline to balance and most effectively utilize financial resources to support their financial goals both personally and from an expansion perspective.
  • A passion for this business and demonstrated success in building and operating a successful, multi-faceted business. Our owners were successful business people prior to joining Golden Spoon and now leverage those capabilities through this fast-growing and exciting business.
